Ecocur Is an Official Licensee of the Paraguay Country Brand
Ecocur received the Paraguay Country Brand license, a recognition from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for exporting companies committed to quality.
In an exciting announcement, the Asunción Circular y Resiliente program has revealed the companies selected to drive the circular economy in Paraguay, and ECOCUR stands out as one of the beneficiaries for the second year in a row. This achievement is a testament to ECOCUR's unwavering commitment to sustainability and innovation in transforming end-of-life tires into valuable recycled rubber tiles.
ECOCUR is a pioneering company in Paraguay that specializes in reusing end-of-life tires to manufacture recycled rubber tiles. Its focus is on creating eco-friendly, versatile, and functional products that extend the useful life of rubber, a material that can take up to 6,000 years to break down. The company has once again been selected to receive technical and financial support from Asunción Circular y Resiliente to take its vision one step further.
In its next stage, ECOCUR aims to diversify its product portfolio, eliminate raw material waste, and make the final disposal of tires easier. In doing so, it will not only increase its contribution to environmental sustainability but also strengthen the resilience of its production processes. This will be achieved by building a resilient supply chain, working with partners and recycling cooperatives, optimizing the use of polyurethane in the production process, and expanding its presence in the construction sector.
Asunción Circular y Resiliente: Driving the Circular Economy in Paraguay
The core goal of the Asunción Circular y Resiliente program is to transform and optimize business models toward more sustainable practices. This is in line with the commitment to help transform the capital, Asunción, into a resilient city. ECOCUR, together with other selected companies, is playing a key role in this effort.
The program is backed by leading organizations in sustainability and development. Fundación Moisés Bertoni, through its «Asunción Circular» (AC+) project, and Fundación Avina, with support from the Citi Foundation and its Resilient Cities initiative, are the main implementers and coordinators of Asunción Circular y Resiliente. In addition, the Inter-American Development Bank's innovation laboratory (IDB Lab) serves as a strategic partner, providing financial and environmental expertise to help ECOCUR and other local ventures develop circular economy projects.
ECOCUR shows that sustainability and innovation can come together to create a brighter, more environmentally friendly future. Its ongoing commitment to the circular economy is an inspiration and a testament to how businesses can lead the way toward sustainability and resilience in Paraguay and beyond.
