Installation and Cleaning Methods for Rubber Tiles

Installation:

Rubber tiles should be laid on a flat surface covering the entire area to be paved. A flat concrete surface or existing floor is recommended; for outdoor surfaces, the base must be sloped so that water can drain. Surfaces should be prepared with the appropriate falls to allow water to run off and prevent puddles from forming beneath the flooring. The tiles are then joined to one another until a continuous surface is obtained. Using adhesive is recommended for this. The surfaces to be joined must be dry and free of dirt. Adhesive should not be applied to damp surfaces.

Maintenance:

Recycled rubber tiles do not require any special maintenance beyond the routine removal of accumulated dirt. The surface should not be cleaned with solvents or harsh chemicals. It can be cleaned by rinsing with low-pressure water. Buildup of soil, sand and stones can be removed by gently sweeping the surface.

Recommendations:

Do not use bleach, detergents or acids.

Schedule routine cleanings to prevent dust and dirt from building up.

Try to remove stains as soon as they occur so they don’t set.

In enclosed spaces, placing mats at the entrance can help catch dirt that is tracked in.
